Lily Woods Music
Where did it start?
Since her father introduced her to Blackbird by the Beatles on guitar at age six, Lily has adored music. In her early teens, her father taught her guitar and since then guitar, songwriting and singing has been a strong passion that has never stopped practicing. Lily has also found it to bring her closer to her father, who sadly passed away when she was 16. She found stability at that difficult time as she used it as a way to express her emotions through her lyrics. She wants to share her music with the world so she can both honor her father's memory and express herself, her life and her story through lyrics. Lily hopes that by sharing her passion for music and her songs, she can encourage others to turn to music- specifically playing guitar as an outlet for stress and to inspire creativity.
who/what im listening to
I greatly enjoy listening to music as certain music artists have inspired me on my music journey. I usually listen to songs/ artists that use an acoustic guitar as it inspires me to blend chords in different ways and create melodies that i hadnt thought of before.
The first band i was introdued to - when i was six was the Beatles so i listen to them very often. Blackbird reminds me of my father so that is my favourite but i have listened to their whole discography and play there songs for fun.
